Perfect Image....formerly known as PixelWorks

So I got this app while it was free for a limited time:)  It is regularly $1.99.  It has so many fun edits, I could just play with my photos all day!  My first attempt at playing was this.....

Then I discovered the sketch edit.  I did this........
So we decided to make art.  We took photos of ourselves.  Then our next step for the art project was to color, using pencil crayon ( a treat in grade one).  When we are done we are going to Seussify ourselves by adding a Cat in the Hat hat.  This kids LOVED this project!

Who needs an artist any more when your photos can turn into drawings?!

Transferring Photos

If you are a photo fanatic like me, here is what you need to get your photos from your dslr camera to your ipad, the camera connector kit.  I've had the connector for some time now, but have never bothered putting extra pictures on my Ipad.  Since tomorrow's lesson plan includes using a photo of each child as they talk into audioboo about being bucket fillers, I thought we might as well use the beautiful photos I just took of each of them today.  No offence to the Ipad camera, it does it job, but seriously the photos just don't compare.  The adapter was quick and simple, in under a minute I had all the pictures I wanted loaded into a folder ready for tomorrows lesson.

Beware the Sync

Okay so I learned something new after a few frustrating hours today.  You CAN NOT delete pictures from your ipad unless you do it during a sync.  When you are syncing the ipad you can select which photos you want to be on your ipad.  The sync is initially set up to sync all your photos which ended up being half of my memory on the ipad.  So I had to resync it selecting only the few photos I wanted.  the help I found did say you could delete pictures from the Ipad that you took with the Ipad (don't ask me how)!

And why did I learn all this?  Well I was attempting to rent my first movie from the itunes store to watch with my hdmi connector on my tv!  I'll let you know how that goes in another post.
